Irrational Christians Unite!

Here's a great Sunday project for you: Go vote for No Question Left Behind as Best Religion Blogs at the Blogger's Choice Awards.

Why? Because we're getting whipped by atheistrev.com ("Dedicated to breaking free from irrational belief and opposing Christian extremism in America.")

Do you really want that to happen? Of course you don't. So, take the extra 3 or 4 minutes it takes to register with the Bloggers' Choice Awards to stand up for irrational Christian extremism everywhere.

UPDATE: The atheist blog is still beating us by 2 votes. So close and yet so far! Go vote now! While you're there check out the other Catholic blogs in the running. Catholic blogs make up a lot of the top spots. Give them a vote too if you like 'em. I say, "The more Catholic blogs at the top, the better." And while you're at it, golly gee willikers, say a prayer for all those bloggers.

Why No Question Left Behind

If I should ever wonder if the Catholic teen help blog No Question Left Behind is worth the effort, all I have to do is check the Sitemeter and see how people find the blog in the first place. Several visitors make their way when they Google strings such as:
Studying wicca in secret
Why did God make Satan
I don't see any reason for living
Teen examination of conscience
Patron saint of self harm
Should I date an atheist
Teens how to be intimate with a guy
Why is the rosary so boring
Prayerfully, these people find the answers to their questions. The right answers. We should all remember them and others who are searching in our daily prayer. May they find Truth.

The Irish and Teen Blogs

One of the cool things about the Internet and blogging is that you get a glimpse into the world outside of the United States. Now and then you stumble onto a Catholic blogger from England or Australia or elsewhere. You see that they are dealing with the same joys and same struggles with their faith and with the Church. It adds, I think, new meaning to the Body of Christ.

Sometimes you even stumble upon blogs from God's country, the homeland of my ancestors, Ireland. Thanks to Sitemeter, I discovered an Irish blogger who discovered No Question Left Behind and had a few kinds words for the teen authors:
I was wandering around the web earlier and by following a link from a favourite site to another site to another and so on, I found these great guys (and gals). They answer in plain and simple English common but occasionally difficult questions about the Faith, mostly from teenagers. This site is brilliant and deserves a big prize! What they want however is not a prize but a heavenly patron, so go over here and help them pick one. (SUBTLE HINT: St Augustine is not only very cool but also spent some time answering random questions from members of his community.)
Thank you so very much

Patron Saint for NQLB Blog

There's a poll over at No Question Left Behind to help the team decide on a patron saint. Problem is that the voting is a dead heat right now and there is no clear winner in sight. Help us decide on a patron and go vote today (check the sidebar). Voting is open until All Saints Day so you have time to tell all your friends, family, and neighbors to vote too. Post it on your blogs, your Facebook, your favorite email list. Don't let the saints down.
