Hoodwinked

Yesterday we borrowed Hoodwinked from the library. I really enjoyed it and thought it a well written story. It's a different take on the Little Red Riding Hood story. Completely different. All the kids liked it too, even the big ones. To read a review, click here.

We like that one, too. Very clever. The kids just crack up watching twitchy with his coffee.

Was he not hysterical! I almost died laughing when they slowed down his speech with the tape recorder.

And who would've ever suspected that the real culpret was the . . .

We watched this one too - my husband discovered it on one of his long airplane rides to Taiwan. It WAS quite interesting and my kids loved it too.

Thanks, Maureen.
My girls wanted to watch this one and I haven't let them because...I'm squimish. I prefer traditional fairy tales and am very picky about adaptations.

Since I have your approval, we'll give it a go. :)

Be forwarned Cay, this is not traditional in the least sense -- quite a modern translations. But then, like you, I don't usually like adaptations. This one was an exception for me. Maybe part of it is just the fact that I'm so happy to have a cartoon that I could let the kids watch without adult humor being snuck in. (I can't figure out why it got a PG rating -- did I miss something?) Anyhoo, let me know what you think once you watch. I'd like to know if you give it the thumbs up or down.

We enjoyed it, too! I can't remember what warranted the PG ... some body function humor? I can't remember for sure ....
