Princess Rose has decided to do a "First Communion Novena." She got the idea from Neumann Press' First Communion Days. Every day for at least nine days, she'll go to Mass and receive Communion. So, she's already made her first, second, and third Holy Communions!
And then we came home and had leftover cake to celebrate! Though I don't have enough leftover cake for nine days!

What a neat idea. The awe we have when we make First Communion is so special and hopefully will stay with us throughout life.
Also, I have so much admiration for those who decide to homeschool their kids.

I have heard this before, and I'm actually doing this right now with my son. We are on day 5! Do you know any history about the novena? I couldn't find anything so far on the net.
