Thank goodness retor is in! I like the 1960's archetectual features, but the carpet and wallpaper has to go!
The kitchen is the only room that has been updated since the house was built. Though I don't know if I'd describe it as a "room." It's totally open to the living and dining area. Which I like very much.
I'm pretty sure I've seen the entryway on the Brady Bunch. You might want to look into that... I would take even the carpet and wallpaper though, if it meant having a fen, 2 ponds, woods and a creek! I really hope you get this home.
If you look closely, you'll see ducks AND frogs! Teen Daughter says the wallpaper is the first thing to go!
When we finally have the inspection, one of my first questions to the inspectors will be to ask if there are hardwood floors under the carpet. If so, the carpets gets pulled up pronto.
Though the duck room is in the basement, oops, lower level, and that carpet will have to be replaced. Concrete floors in your bedroom would be a bummer.
The whole thing will be a great unschooling experience. Not just the nature outside but the updating. Honestly, I am no good at that stuff. We've rented all these years and so I've no experience at painting, wallpaper etc.
Thank goodness I have friends who know their stuff and have already volunteered to help. And my sister may fly up for a week to help. God has blessed me!

I should proofread my comments before hitting the post button! Yes, I'm a writer and make typos. It's true!
