Super Boy: Did Christian leave for college already today?
Me: Yes, honey he did.
SB: I miss him a lot. A whole lot.
Me: He'll be home in 4 hours.
SB: Oh no! That's such a long time.
How will SB ever be able to handle it when his big brother goes away to college for months at a time! I guess I better start looking for a good shrink now.

Reminds me of some years ago. One of my boys was devastated when his sister went to college. Like yours, it was just going away for the day, not for months at a time. But they get very attached to those siblings!
